School of Court Administration in Ukraine

On April 10–12, the first School of Court Administration took place in Ukraine, organized by the All-Ukrainian Association of Court Employees within the framework of a grant provided by the European Union Project “Pravo-Justice” and with the support of the International Association for Court Administration (IACA).

Out of more than 100 applicants, 25 court staff leaders and their deputies were selected to participate in the three-day intensive training program. Together with expert trainers, they worked on the following key topics:

  • development of value-based leadership and emotional intelligence,
  • team effectiveness in court administration,
  • mediation and conflict management,
  • implementation of modern technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence in court operations.

The participants were honored to receive welcome remarks from Pamela Harris, President of IACA, who shared her professional journey and inspired the attendees to continue growing in this essential field:

"I know that managing courts is not just a job — it is a calling. As Theodore Roosevelt once said, the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing. Administering justice in an honest, fair, and efficient way is not simply a professional task — it is an honor and a responsibility worth the effort. And that is why we must keep learning, growing, and strengthening our communities".

The International Association for Court Administration is proud to support initiatives that promote leadership, professional standards, and global collaboration in the field of court administration — and remains open to future joint projects with our Ukrainian colleagues.
